I am glad that I have been given an opportunity to serve as the Head of the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, the largest department of the University in terms of infrastructure and experimental facilities. Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women (IGDTUW) is the premier University for women education in India and a beacon of women empowerment in the fields of engineering, technology, and innovation. It is both a significant honor and a profound privilege to be a part of this esteemed University. The Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering offers regular undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degree programmes. Students and researchers represent invaluable assets to any department and are the main strengths of the department. In this respect, the students of this department, apart from studying regular subjects, have taken parts in various national and international technical events and competitions and have brought laurels by winning prizes. We have a team of highly qualified, talented, experienced and dedicated faculty members who, apart from teaching regular subjects, have carried out great researches in the field of Mechanical and Automation Engineering. We have a team of highly skilled, talented and dedicated team of technical staff as well who assist the faculty members in their researchs.
